Blogging for happiness

Well, I only tried the short journaling with 3 beautiful thoughts each day for a week. But I can say that looking back on what I wrote gives me great pleasure. It's like a feeling of calm comes over me and the tension of the day is released. They're wonderful reminders of what I have to be grateful for. I think I may go back to the good old handwritten journal, but I like the short-but-sweet format. Have you given the 3 Beautiful Things a try? How did it work (or not) for you? Continue

What makes you happy?

It was a really weird month. We’ve faced illness, and the death of a relative and a family friend’s son (both of whom were only 47.) Not trying to depress you. Really. These sudden shocks to the system just kind of put everyday concerns into perspective. And make me think about how I want to live my life.
