Midwest Mom's Blog (7)

Latest from the Homestead

I've been so busy this fall -- responsibilities at school have really ramped up. (Now's about the time I need to start to learn to say NO. -- LOL, not going to happen.) Anyway, it makes me feel good to be involved. The kids have been on school vacation for a while (we get a 2 week break in October, which is nice.) But the weather has been so rainy. I've been searching my brain for rainy day activities and came across a truly terrific resource I had to share --… Continue

JumpStart World Software Review and Giveaway

Midwest Moms is hosting it's first GIVEAWAY! My site is not a review site or a giveaway site... I only will talk about a product that I truly believe in. JumpStart learning software really fits the bill. Last month, I agreed to beta-test the JumpStart World website and PC software. The Peanut Butter Recall -- What Moms Need to Know

Peanut butter is practically it's own food group in our household. Besides the standard peanut butter and jelly sandwiches my children enjoy, peanuts and peanut butter are an ingredient in cookies, snack bars, ice cream, and a filling for our favorite savory snack, peanut butter crackers. I cannot think of a more trusted ingredient in our family's diet. So, when I heard about the FDA recall of peanut butter and a wide variety of peanut butter products, I absolutely wanted more information! Wh… Continue
