I just returned from the Florida Blood Center where I had a platelet test done. We made an appointment for me to return on October 18 when I will donate my blood platelets. Platelets can be donated every two weeks and help a variety of people, Chemo patients, newborn babies, wounded soldiers, etc. The donation takes about an hour.
