Meeting Garrett's Great Grandparents on his Birthday

On December 26, 2002 I became a mother. Garrett was born at 1:19 pm the day after Christmas, although he was trying to come on Christmas day. The VLOG Experiment Begins

HeartMommy has begun her career as a film maker with the FLIP digital camera. As I have asked all my friends, family and the world, go easy on the reviews since I am new at this whole thing. Blog and VLOG-the FUN

What a wonderful experience I have had in the past week. After reading about a FLIP camera offer on Twitter for expectant and new moms, I wrote and asked if adoptive/birthmoms could be a part of the offer. YES! Thank a Veteran Today!

Today is Veteran's Day. At war or at peace time our service men and women serve their country. Many are overseas and many more are here in the US; still serving, reservist or retired. My personal thanks go to Major Darrel Robinson, USMC. He is my brother-in-law, served 3 tours of duty, and now works for the USMC in the South East Region. Almost everyday, my son will say, I love Uncle Darrel, he keeps us safe and is a good man. Thank you! Continue

November is National Adoption Month-CELEBRATE!

While reading two books, "The Girls Who Went Away" and "Relinquished"; both books about birthmothers who by 'choice or by force' relinquished their children for adoption, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to be a HeartMommy. Being a mother was one of the things I knew I would be, but after trying for many years, it was apparent that I would not have biological children. Lucky me!
