My husband's construction business has hit a really slow period. While my business is doing quite well I'm finding I'm responsible for just about all the household expenditures now. yikes!
We have cut back in a lot of ways but I still find we're eating like we both still had high paying full time jobs. :(
I've heard you can feed a family of 4 on 5 dollars a day, but I just don't see how.
I'd love some tips from all you fabulous frugal moms to let me know some ways I can start saving money on our food bill.
A couple things ~ my husband is a carnivore ~ he's got to have meat in his meal (but I'm not apposed to cutting it smaller and adding less ;)
And I would like our meals to be as healthy as possible. I tried to cut back our food budget at one point by using more boxed meals, and our bill went down, but we just weren't as healthy and I gained a bit of weight. :(
So if you've got any ideas I'd love to hear them. I'm open to suggestions, recipes, websites, and whatever else you might have.
Thanks Moms!!
Jackie
