twitter moms: the influential moms network

Last night we carved our pumpkins which is one of my favorite things to do. I get all giddy around Halloween time and it usually last through the next two holidays before I enter my Winter Is Too Damn Long funk. Big designed his own face for the first time ever this year. He did pretty good by drawing square eyes and a circle nose. The mouth was a different story. I am not exactly sure what his design was for the mouth, but it involved raser thin teeth that were impossible to carve. He wanted his pumpkin to be scary! No! "The scariest pumpkin ever!!!" After my husband carved his pumpkin, Big decided he needed his "scarier" than Daddy's pumpkin. Dad had to add extra features to Big's pumpkin in order to make it "scarier." We all had fun and Big even enjoyed gutting the pumpkins this year. In years past he would take one look at the inside of a pumpkin and just say "nuh, uh."

While my husband did most of the knife work especially on the thicker pumpkins, we by no means brought out any power tools. Heh. Check out Stephanie's blog post for power tool pumpkin carving at http://www.twittermoms.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2291408%3ABlogPost%3A272085
