Fall is my favorite time of the year, also the time of our son's birth. The cool crisp air, the change of color in trees, football everywhere, fall festivals and holidays right around the corner; I love it all. Of course Seth is really looking forward to his birthday, and all of the following activities we will be enjoying this season.

Fall Foliage: This has got to be one of the best gifts from nature to us. The beautiful colors of the tree as their leaves change to different shades of Orange. It usually lasts about a month or so, from September through late October. We usually drive up to North Georgia Mountains, to enjoy the fall foliage. If we're driving up to see family in New York or Canada, we get to enjoy the fall foliage in Virginia, and Vermont.
Corn Maze: What's more fun than trying to find each other in a corn maze? Last year was Seth's first time, he absolutely loved it. It was starting to get dark, and I was getting worried, but Seth would go deeper into the maze.
Pumpkin Patch: Pumpkins, another sure sign of fall. I have to admit, I'd never been to a pumpkin patch until Seth was born. Now it's a family tradition every year. Seeing rows and rows of pumpkins is just as beautiful as the fall foliage. Taking hayrides through a pumpkin patch, shooting little pumpkins through a cannon, roasting marshmallows, are just some of the things we enjoyed at the patch.
Fall Festivals: I think festivals are a great way to spend quality family time without spending too much. Our city and the surrounding cities host festivals almost every weekend between now, and mid November. Seth love decorating pumpkins, hayrides, story times, face painting, , and art work among many other fun activities. The activities are either free or cost less than $5.
Football: There's nothing more fun than watching some good old college football with friends, and family on a Saturday afternoon. Seth loves baseball, so with the change in season he's still trying to get used to football, but he's getting the hang of it. Now instead of the Living room corners being the bases, now they are End Zones! He'll be ready to play some touch football by Thanksgiving!
What are some fun things you'll be doing with your kids this fall?
