Let's see 7 signs your college student is home 4 the summer..................
1. you constantly hear telephones (land line or mobile) ringing off the hook!
2. you find comfort hearing the alarm beep to let you know your college student arrived home safely!
3. your notice the utility bills start sky-rocketing - AGAIN!
4. you want to tell them what to do; how to do it; and then you remind yourself - oh no.. my "baby" is in college - then another oh no "I am getting old"!
5. you cook their favorite meal - only to have them tell you "I'm really not that hungry" or "oh, mom sorry but I already ate with "X" or even better "I don't eat that anymore" - Ha!
6.when you find yourself - trying to tell stories like "Well when I was in college we....." and they give you a look like... "oh, no here we go again... "
7. find yourself anticipating when they will go back - so you can finally have "your" house back again; enjoy your favorite glass of wine in peace; you can't wait to hear those words "yes, mom - I arrived back safely; and I love you too".
