This morning Joyce Meyer is talking about her prison ministry.

She mentioned how sometimes we feel like the people in prison deserve to be there and we really shouldn't even bother to help them; and then she asked a question:

Have you ever done anything (be it now or years ago) where HAD you gotten caught you could have ended up in prison?

Now of course my immediate reaction was NO! But then I thought alittle more...(it only took 3 extra seconds!) and I realized that wasn't true. There were MANY times in my early years when I used to drink and drive.

I wasn't an alcoholic, but I loved to drink. I always took my own car so that I wouldn't have to rely on anyone to get me home! I remember leaving the club drunk and driving home. Once, I even drove home from Memphis to Nashville drunk! That's a 3 hour drive! I remember stopping and a rest stop and passing out and then waking back up and finishing the drive!

I could be in a wheelchair today.
I could have killed some one's child.
I could be in prison....right now.

We need to learn to have mercy on people. They make mistakes just like us!! We are NOT above them! We're just like them, but God blessed us not to go down that road!! Thank God today and think of someone who may have gone road and may need you.

Reach out to someone today. One day you're GOING TO need someone to reach out to you. Trust me!

What an interesting thought. It's true we shouldn't cast the first stone isn't it. Someday we will figure it out that we are all one. No one better than the other.

Blessings to you on your path.
