Everything Old is New Again
I have been thinking a lot lately about starting a blog....what to talk about though? I mean, are people really going to be interested in what I have to say?
Why are blogs so popular now? What pushed them into the light recently....I mean EVERYONE has one. And then I realized that it is probably two things that attract people to blogs...One, it serves as a sort of journal for personal reasons or just to share info with other people with similar interests. But two, I think the new blogs are money makers....whether that is good or bad, I have yet to determine, but that is what Ive been seeing. Lots of ways to make money with your blog.
So here I am...writing my first blog, probably as a way to get all these ideas out, see how easy it is to share your personal thoughts....but more importantly, I wanted to see what others felt about blogs. And who better to go to than your peers, other Mom's that have such a similar bond...our children!
Can you answer this simple question for me??? Why do you blog? Is it easy for you? Hard? Do you blog to share your feelings, are you passionate about the topics you choose to discuss? Are you in business and find your blog generates money for that purpose?
Anyway...this is such an interesting topic for me. Maybe because I used to be a writer for my school paper and I went back to school to get my journalism degree....but was surprised and pleased to find out I was pregnant. So my adorable son got the last 5 yrs all to himself...(And I wouldnt change one bit of that time!) But Im at a place where it is my turn to shine again. And maybe that OLD passion, that thought of once becoming a freelance writer will push me to find that NEW spark, hence the phrase... "Everything old is new again"!
