First Snowfall....Ahhhh, Christmas Time is Here!!!

I woke up this morning to find that Mother Nature had left us a gift of white beautiful snow. Ohhhhh, how I love the first snowfall.....and so does my son!!! He woke up and as soon as he saw the snow outside...well, as you can imagine, his eyes were so big and happy....I felt like saying, "Lets go sledding right now and miss school today!". (Okay Im not crazy, lol. It was just a thought!)
And then I realized that this was only the beginning of many days of snow and we had plenty of time to enjoy it.

But back to that first snowfall of the season. Isnt this a happy time for most people? I think we remember when we were kids and the first thing my mom and I would do when it snowed was put on our hat and gloves and go outside to play in the snow. My mom was a trooper. She would indulge me in these fun and.....very cold, lol...activities. (I think deep down she had as much fun as I did though!)

Stop and think of what you did and do now when you see that first snow start falling outside. Really, there is nothing like seeing big snowflakes falling....it looks so peaceful, so beautiful....and its that excitement of the Christmas season. I couldnt help turning on the Christmas music today either....the earlier the better for me!!! I figure....this next 6 weeks will go by so fast anyway and I want to appreciate this wonderful time and what better way than to sing along to some Christmas songs while cleaning the house! (I have to say that my chores were done sooner than I expected and I was in an amazingly happy and cheerful mood!!!)

So where ever you are....when you see that first snowfall of the season....grab your child, run outside, stick your tongue out and enjoy every moment!!! You'll be so glad you did!
