Kids Say The Darndest Things

Yesterday afternoon we were driving home and I look in my rearview mirror and my 4 year old is turned completely around in his booster seat looking out the back window. I stop the car and ask him to turn around in his seat. I ask him what would happen if we were in an accident and he was standing up like that. He says he would die. I told him it would make me sad if he went away from us. I said "So do you want to go away from mommy, daddy, sissy and bubby? He said, "No," but get a really big smile on his face and then said "but I would want to go and see Jesus."

What's a mom to say to that? All I could say was "Let's go ahead and stay sitting in our seat." He said "OK!" and that was the end of it. Sometimes my kids have a better perspective on life than I do.
