twitter moms: the influential moms network

A few weeks back, I put a call out to members who were interested in becoming regular, featured contributors. We asked for a few examples and links to their blogs. Unfortunately, the sheer magnitude of the Holiday Catalog got in the way.

Now, let's get this project back on track!

To become a featured contributor to TwitterMoms, you must:

  • Be willing to commit to write a blog post or a thought-provoking discussion topic once a week.
  • Have a blog of your own.
  • Have some professional writing experience, whether it's related to your career, school or previous job.
  • Be opinionated, but fair and agenda-free.
  • Focus on topics that offer resources, ideas and a little entertainment for your fellow members.
  • Avoid self-promotion.

We are looking for people to spearhead blogs and discussions on the following topics:

  • Web 2.0 and social media news, tools, tips, tricks and more
  • Marketing (tips on how to monetize your blog, marketing, and PR advice)
  • Crafting (tips on crafting, lessons, suggestions, etc)
  • Parenting (pregnancy, raising kids, homeschooling, tips on discipline)
  • Home (recipes, cooking, gardening, entertaining)
  • Travel (family travel suggestions, advice and tips)
  • Beauty and Health (nutrition, exercise, skin care tips, fashion advice, shopping tips)
  • TMOTW (write a weekly blog that features profiles of an interesting, notable or outstanding member)

The benefits to you:

  • Increase traffic to you blog (you can include a link to your blog in every post on TwitterMoms and in your Author's Bio.)
  • Become a recognized expert in an area you're passionate about. Make friends and fans.
  • Generate qualified leads for your business (even though you will be writing non-promotional material, people will get to know you and your business just by reading your advice and tips - you will be seen as a resource in your area of expertise.)

If interested, please fill out this very short form and I'll get back to you very soon this time! The deadline for submissions is midnight PST on December 19.

Thank you!

Megan

Hi Megan! Happy Monday! Thanks for starting this site. I am really enjoying the conversation and friendship!

I would love to help out! I left the world of professional public relations in 2001. I have a blog site at http://www.glamourbylbd.com. For the last four years, I have worked with women, primarily in their 40s and 50s who have the committment to dress for the life they want in the body they have...you have entered the no "Mom Jean" zone! I am the mom of two boys, Jack (10) and Charlie (12). I can blog about style, motherhood, special needs, work at home moms...just tell me what you want! I write for relaxation and to connect to other women...overall it helps my Google rankings and blog readership, which is a great bonus to doing what I love!

Oh, oops...guess it would help if I followed directions, huh? I will go fill out that form now. Note to self: Do NOT respond to any inquiries before consuming at least two cups of coffee. Apologies.

Hey, Megan

I host an author interview talk show and companion blog called Words To Mouth at http://www.WordsToMouth.com. My focus is women's fiction, novels, memoirs, mystery...but, I also interview a lot of non-fiction authors/experts on family, parenting, relationships, children, etc.

I'd be happy to put together a post for you each week on what I learn from particular authors. Two come to mind off the top of my head that I think would be interesting to your audience, which, by the way, is the same as mine: 1) Dr. Romance's tips on how to stop arguing about the three things that can ruin your marriage--money, sex, and kids; and 2) Dr. Allan Hamilton's "Twenty Rules to Live by" ~ He's a neurosurgeon (and script consulant or Grey's Anatomy) and wrote an amazing book, The Scapel and the Soul, on the healing power of hope.

Please visit my site and consider me as a contributor. I look forward to the possibility of hearing from you, but with over 5,000 members won't have hurt feelings if someone else better fits the bill.

"Best" to you & Thanks for all your hard work. You've developed a great community here.
Carrie
