Spring Break family fun for Cheap or FREE in Atlanta & New York City
With Spring Break right around the corner, I'm re-posting my previous posts on Spring Break family fun activities for Atlanta and New York City with some new additions, taking place in the upcoming days or weeks.
Atlanta:
10 Kid Friendly Places to go in Atlanta at a Bargain or for FREE - previous post
If you are a Fulton County resident the High Museum of Art is FREE this weekend or first Saturday of every
month. On Monday 04/06, tickets are 50% off. This is a great chance to see, The First Emperor: China's Terracotta Army exhibit, which ends in April 19.
North Atlanta Trade Center in Norcross is having its annual Great Train Expo on 04/04 and 04/05, 10am-4pm. Tickets are $7 for adults, good for both days, free for kids 12 and under. Your little train enthusiasts are sure to enjoy the model railroads.
Taste of Forsyth: 04/19, noon to 5pm. Cumming Fairgrounds. Free admissions. $.50 food ticket
Taste of Marietta:04/26, 11am-7pm. Historic Downtown Marietta. Free admissions, $0.50 - $4 food ticket.
Stone Mountain Park, Feria Latina: 04/26, 10am to 9pm. Memorial Lawn. Free event, except for $8 per car for parking. Rides, clowns, laser show, games, arts and crafts.
Atlanta Dogwood Festival: 04/17 - 04/19. It's back at Piedmont Park! Free admissions. Face paint, clowns, wax candles, wacky hair, live music, arts and crafts, interactive activities and more.
Don't forget to check your local parks for Easter Egg Hunts.
New York City:
10 Kid Friendly places to visit in New York City @ a Bargain or FREE -previous post
Tribeca Film Festival Drive in: World Financial Center Plaza. Free. April 23, 24, 25. Activities start at 6:30, movie starts at 8:15.
Cherry Blossom: Brooklyn Botanical Garden 04/04 - 05/10. Saturdays 10am -noon Free except for days with special events.
Earth Day in Central Park: 04/26, noon to 4:00pm. FREE. Live music, crafts with recycled materials, environmental education.
