I'm pleased to introduce you to
Synolve Craft, 39, a married mother of two children (ages 13 and 11) from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Synolve is the editor-in-chief and publisher of
The Infinite Field Magazine, a "global spiritual lifestyle magazine which focuses on the limitless and boundless possibilities of the Universe and the human spirit."
"We focus on individuals who live in the field of the infinite where 'all things are possible,'" says Synolve. "Our [online] magazine articles cover subjects such as healthy living, conscious parenting, living green, children, teens, relationships, recipes, spirituality, music, beauty, vegan, and so much more."
I asked Synolve (pronounced suh-NOLVE) about the name of her magazine -- what is an "infinite field" for the lay person?
"This is a really good question. And as much as I think I know about 'what' the infinite field is, I am certainly learning more and more each day. I have committed myself to the path and journey of exploring this question not only for the readers, but for myself. ... Basically, the infinite field is a place, not outside ourselves, but within ourselves where all things are possible. It is a magical place within ourselves where we harness the power of the universe to create our dreams."
I also asked about any life experiences she's had that have shaped who she is today.
"What I can tell you is that Spirit wastes nothing. Every experience, event, opportunity, mishap, problem, joy, triumph, failure, and success are ALL used by Spirit. Even things that I thought had no meaning or purpose in life. According to Spirit, they all serve a purpose in the universe."
"A few years back, I worked for a medical device company as a medical writer. I came up with the brilliant idea to create a magazine which would communicate standards and other information to our doctors in the US and around the world. However, my ideas for the magazine were taken and the magazine was published without any reference to me and without my knowledge. At the time, I took this as a slap in the face, cried for days on end, and was very deeply hurt once I happened upon the magazine one day. Needless to say, at the time, I didn't understand why Spirit took me down this road. I NOW know that this experience was the foundation to The Infinite Field Magazine. It was the training that I needed in order to pursue my dreams and passions. It is the fuel that keeps my passion and desire to succeed burning brightly."
Synolve says she is married to "the most wonderful man in the world," Milton Craft. "Milton is a composer and musician (trumpet), and he also serves as VP of Business Solutions for our company." The couple's two children also contribute their talents to the magazine, with Alexzandria, 13, serving as teen editor, and Evan, 11, helping to produce trailers and videos.
Synolve was born in Batesville, Mississippi and raised by her grandmother and cousin. She holds a Bachelors Degree in English, with a dual concentration in Professional & Technical Writing and African Studies, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in English.
"Living authentically is my greatest passion," says Synolve. "[I want] to live my best life and to help other people make their dreams come true. The secret I know: Life is a dream. Each moment is your design. Whatever you desire can and will come true for you. The first step is to believe."
