They try to bully you and tell you that you're credit will be ruined and I finally just said...."Listen if I cared about my credit I wouldn't be in this situation so this is what I can do and this is what I need you to do...." They seemed to get it after that. Once I realized that I had no intention of buying anything on credit ever again I could let go of the fear of their threats. I actually got two of my credit cards to close out and set up on fixed interest rates (11.9 instead of 22) and they will be paid off in three years. The biggest part for us was giving every dollar a name and knowing where it was going. Also I found that using cash has helped us cut our grocery bill a ton. Overall the program is great. Nothing mind blowing but just the kick in the butt we needed.

However, if his company didn't sponsor the program we wouldn't have been able to afford it either. I'd be happy to share some of his highlights it you'd like. Also his website if you haven't been there already has a lot of great free resources. He has a newsletter that you can sign up for as well.
