Happy New Year fellow Cocktail & Stiletto Groupie. Hope all is well! Here's a little something to help lift your spirits, cocktail spirits, that is!

This award-winning cocktail will make its debut at the Inaugural Ball or the Hawaii Delegation at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. It was created by Bridget Albert, author of Market-Fresh Mixology: Great Seasonal Cocktails and master mixologist for Southern Wine and Spirits of Illinois.

The American Dream Cocktail
as featured on Oprah

Ingredients:Serves 1

1 ounce PAMA pomegranate liqueur
1 ounce black cherry rum
1 1/2 ounces POM Wonderful pomegranate cherry juice
1/2 ounce fresh sour mix
White fondant
Blueberries
Cut mini stars out of white fondant. Using water, gently wet the back of each star and press into the inside of the cocktail glass. Let sit for 5 minutes.

In a Boston shaker, fill mixing glass with all ingredients and add ice to tin. Shake together well and strain into star-studded cocktail glass. Garnish with blueberries on a pick

Very cool, Danielle! Thank you for sharing that :)

Best thing for me today was a silly/fun meal with my youngest this evening.

Blessings...

Ahh...perhaps for the best, you think? :)

What is the best thing that's happened to you today?

For me, it was the fun I had with my youngest - when we both loved the
same material (and got for a great price at Home Fabrics) to recover our dining chairs.
I enjoy her so much!

Blessings...

the consultant was Katie M. Believe me, the first question I asked was are you on twitter moms? That would've been too odd!

Have you been in the area for a long time? The Cash's up the hill
have been in the Auberry area for lotsa years.

Curious, is it cool to be married into "the" Johhny Cash family?

Blessings...

Hi, Danielle, I'm new here, too. Hope you're finding it as cool as I have, so far.

Curious, are you related to any of the Cash family that used to be in the Auberry area?

Blessings!

It gets stranger! A different friend took me to a For Your Pleasure party, last night. The consultant (?) lives a few miles from my house. What an interesting business you have!

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Hi! I'm on the Moms in the Arts group, too. I am a dancer, but I've also been very involved in theatre (non-professional) my whole life. Just thought I'd welcome you to twittermoms!
